My name is Simon Buckley. In 2009, I am going to ride my motorbike around the world. The trip is fraught with a number of challenges; it is going to be demanding, lonely, hazardous and bold. Through careful planning and preparation and with the help of friends, family and the community, I will be able to overcome the challenges and arrive home safely.

How is the trip going to support The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia?
I will be undertaking an extensive PR campaign including Media, Door to Door, Publicity and email campaign, all designed to drive visitation to the Website, and in turn to PCFA website. Regular updates en route, as well as lecture, photo and media opportunities will be communicated through the network. The major aims are awareness and support of the work of PCFA. Awareness is to be measured by website visitation and message board, and support by donations to the charity. For more information on the work by PCFA visit www.prostate.com.au

Why PCFA?
The PCFA 'Be a Man' campaign is about men facing up to their responsibilities. My trip, similarly, is about facing the unknown and showing that it can be overcome. That what can be seen as a huge and insurmountable challenge can be overcome by facing up to it head on, with carefully planned and organised approach. I want to encourage Men to face up to their responsibilities, and aid in awareness that the issues exist.
